Calling all Spyder Riders for 2012 Americade

I would like to get an idea of how many are going. Last year was the most I have ever seen at Americade and want to continue to see this group grow. Role call time.

I'll be there! Hopefully I will have my new RT-S, but if not, I will still have the '08 RS. Great time last year, and all the previous years as well. (Star Cruiser)

I will be there. Coming frome Tannerville Pa on the 3rd. Can't wait. Only the week goes by so f-a-s-t!! Blue RT-S. No distinguishing mods yet. Only additions have been CB (can't leave home without it) and trailer hitch.

We will be on a yellow Spyder and my wife will have yellow pigtails coming out from the back of her helmet.

We will be arriving on the 4th for the week. Rain, rain stay away.

Question for the CanAm Spyder riders.

What type of permit is required in the state of New York to ride a Spyder.

Do you have to have a motorcycle license or is regular car license ok.

Reason I ask is that here in Quebec, you can ride a Spyder if you only have a regular car drivers license,

as long as you take a 7 hours Spyder riders course before hand.

Will the state of New York accept Spyder riders from Quebec without a motorcycle license.

If you live in NY you must have a motorcycle license. Wheather or not your rules apply here if your visting, is a question for your DMV.

The only rule that applies to you in a case like this is the licensing requirement for where you live and where your vehicle is registered. Each state is required to honor other states' licensing requirements. That also applies for foreign countries. When I go to ride in Germany, for example, I don't need a German license, just my California one. You have nothing to worry about.

Due to work commitments I can only get the Friday off, ridding up solo on RT Friday morning 8th from Bellingham MA.

Staying at the Alpine Lodge, North Creek, Friday night, ride home late Saturday Night.

Hope some of you will consider joining us at breakfast at Long Shots on Saturday morning! A group of us - mostly trikers - get together there every year for breakfast, laughs, and to watch the parade go by. Would love to see some Spyders there as well!
